SABATTUS — The Police Department will conduct its final “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” traffic safety checks of the summer over the holiday weekend.
The time and location were not disclosed. The program is paid for through the Bureau of Highway Safety.
Lt. Matt Prince said police will look for impaired drivers, as well as proper use of safety belts, up-to-date inspection stickers and suspended licenses. Five to six officers typically work one checkpoint.
