Autism support
FARMINGTON — Franklin Health Child & Adolescent Developmental Pediatrics has announced the restart of its autism support group for parents and caregivers of children with autism. These groups offer education, advocacy and support for families affected by autism spectrum disorders. The group is facilitated by Tami Labul, a clinical social worker and the parent of a child with autism.
The meetings take place on the second Thursday of every month. The next meeting will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Monthly luncheon
FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. The menu includes Stan’s regionally famous meat loaf, mashed potatoes, zucchini and chocolate pudding.

Square dancing
PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will host beginner square dance classes from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 14 and 21. The first three lessons are free at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street. The lessons will be intermingled with workshops for experienced dancers of various levels who will be ‘angeling’ the beginners. Ray Hilton of Saco will be teaching.

Strength program
FARMINGTON – SeniorsPlus, the area agency on aging based in Lewiston, will hold its first Strength for Life exercise program beginning Wednesday, Sept. 21, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The program is for people of all ages, medical condition or current level of activity.
The program will help make daily activity a regular part of life by building the essential strength that makes all movement easier and more enjoyable.
The twice-weekly program will teach strength, balance, coordination and flexibility. All necessary equipment will be provided.
Classes are from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays from Sept. 21 through Nov. 11. Instructor is Kelli Gilzow.
The cost is $30, which is a reduced fee due to partial grant funding.

RCAM meeting
LEEDS — The 41th annual meeting of the Rural Community Action Ministry is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, at the office on 81 Church Hill Road. The regular business meeting will include the election of a new slate of board officers and the public is invited to attend.
Yard sale donations
LEEDS — Rural Community Action Ministry is seeking donations of unwanted household items for the “Somewhat Annual” Yard Sale, to be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at 81 Church Hill Road.
Donations are limited to items in gently used, good, clean, workable condition such as books, knick-knacks, dishes, glassware, bakeware, sporting goods, small kitchen appliances and small furniture. No large appliances or furniture, clothing or bedding.
RCAM reserves the right to refuse items and will not be providing pick up service. Call 524-5095 to receive a drop off time for donations.
