FARMINGTON — SAVES in Farmington will host a support group this fall, being facilitated by social worker Aimee Cecile, a longtime SAVES supporter.

The women’s support group will be centered on creative recovery and empowerment for women. The meetings will be held every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 through Dec. 13. All meetings will be held at the Holman House, 227 Main St.

The group will focus on providing space for an individual to explore their experiences and healing through various mediums such as drawing, painting, collage and others. Also group members will be encouraged to open up creativity and make peace with one’s self. In this group, listening, writing and talking are used to explore one’s healing and recovery from trauma. No previous writing or art practice in necessary.
