PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — A gasoline price monitoring website says the average retail price in Maine has fallen 0.7 cent per gallon in the past week to $3.73.
MaineGasPrices.com says Sunday’s average price was $1.04 per gallon higher than it was the same day one year ago, and a penny higher than a month ago.
Maine’s average $3.73 also compares with the national average, which has fallen 0.1 cent per gallon in the last week to $3.66.
Petroleum analyst Patrick DeHaan says wholesale gasoline prices, which stations pay, began to drop last week. He says that means the national average price may begin moving lower.
