Spaghetti supper
MEXICO — A public spaghetti dinner hosted by King Hiram Masonic Lodge #57 will be held beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. The lodge is located at 795 River Road. Menu includes cole slaw, rolls, coffee, punch and desserts. Adults, $7; children under 12, $4.
Church supper
RUMFORD — The Rumford United Methodist Church will hold a public supper at the Virgin Memorial Chapel on Linnell Street on Saturday, Sept. 17. There will be one serving at 5 p.m. and the doors will open at 4:30. The meal will consist of casseroles, salads, rolls, beverages and pie. The cost is $7 and $3 for those 10 years and under.
Cemetery meeting
HEBRON — The 2011 annual meeting of the Maple Ridge Cemetery Assn. of Hebron will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, at 78 Greenwood Mountain Road. Important business will be on the agenda, including election of officers and trustees. All officers, trustees and interested parties are invited to attend.

Third-hand smoke
RUMFORD — The next Community Networking Meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition is scheduled for noon Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Rumford Public Library, downstairs in the Community Room. A light lunch will be provided.
Sarah Mayberry from the Breathe Easy Coalition will speak about third-hand smoke.
Other agenda items include community updates from the Healthy Communities as well as from other River Valley organizations.
