- Peru residents Angela Barkhouse, right, and Bud Brown had a buzz of activity on Tuesday afternoon. A helicopter from Rotor Blade, a vegetation management company from Georgetown, S.C., trimmed trees along the power line between the Valley Road and Ridge Road by dropping a large circulating blade from the helicopter. The company is contracted through Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and Central Maine Power Co. to help clear vegetation on local power lines and will be working in the area for the next week.
