Sunday service

PARIS — Silver Moore-Leamon will lead the 10 a.m. service Sunday, Sept. 18, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris. Her sermon title is “This, too, Shall Pass.” Music will be under the direction of Forest Perkins, church organist. The Coffee Hour will follow the service in Good Cheer Hall.

Show rehearsals

PARIS — The Christmas for Teens Benefit Show rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School music room.

Singers from grades 6 to 12 and adults are invited to participate. The show will feature a storyline including the RPC Animal Shelter. The music is upbeat, expressive, sacred and secular, pop and traditional to please singers and audience members.

There will be two show dates this year: Friday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1:30 p.m.

Sportsmen’s forum

PARIS — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will host a sportsmen’s forum on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at the club house, 744 Buckfield Road, South Paris.

Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Commissioner Chandler Woodcock will lead a public question and answer session immediately following a pot luck supper at 6:30 p.m. The commissioner will make a brief opening statement and then open the floor to questions. The public is invited to attend.

Attendees should bring appetite, a dish to share and questions for Woodcock. For more information visit www.npfg.org.

Biology class

PARIS — Oxford Hills/Buckfield Adult Education is running a biology with lab class beginning Thursday, Sept. 22, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The class runs for 15 weeks and is for anyone who needs a high school credit for college. Call 743-8842 to register and meet with the guidance counselor. The Adult Ed. office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. 

Firewood raffle

PARIS — The South Paris X-tra Mile ATV Club is raffling off one cord of firewood, cut, split and delivered. Tickets will be on sale at Smedbergs Crystal Spring Farm, Route 26 in Oxford, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Drawing will be at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds help support the club and trails.
