LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library is a drop-off for donations for the Grant family of Livermore Falls, who lost everything when their home burned on Sept. 16. The immediate need is clothing. Contact the library at 897-3631 for sizes.

Donations are accepted during library hours, 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays; 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. A canister for monetary donations will be on the Circulation Desk.

The Livermore Falls Apple Pumpkin Festival will be Saturday, Sept. 24. Elsie’s Re-read Used Book Emporium will hold its annual Book Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as part of the festival. Access will be through the parking lot behind the library.

Cardholders are reminded to bring in their library card to have it rebarcoded before Oct. 1. One free replacement can be issued; after that replacement cards will cost $1. After Oct. 1, library cards will be required in order to check out any item.
