BOSTON — CVS Caremark and the Boston Red Sox paid tribute to disabled veterans from across New England at Fenway Park on July 5. Two of the 15 veterans happened to be from Lewiston.
The special opportunity Christy Gardner and Michelle Olds took part in at Fenway included hitting tips and on-field batting practice with hitting coach Dave Magadan, lunch in the Red Sox dugout, photos in front of the Green Monster, a VIP tour of the park, early entry to the Red Sox pregame batting practice and tickets to the evening’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
