PARIS — The annual meat raffle sponsored by Maine Veteran’s Home and the Western Maine Veteran Advisory Committee support was a big success. Harvey Manson of Peru won the “hind quarter.”
Snowmobile club

Fryeburg Fair bus
RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Citizens bus for the Fryeburg Fair will leave at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4. The TRIAD meeting will be at the Eagles on Friday, Oct. 14.
Exercise class
MEXICO — Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice will offer the popular six-week exercise program called Moving Freely. Although designed for senior citizens, men and women of all ages are welcome to attend these classes.
Join instructor Mitzi Sequoia starting Monday, Oct. 10. Classes are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Mexico Recreation Center Gym on Recreation Drive.
The goal of Moving Freely is to help participants achieve and maintain vital, independent lives by incorporating movement into their daily routine. The program offers exercises that are safe, simple, fun and effective. Participants learn why these exercises are necessary, what they do for the body and mind and how to incorporate them into their daily lives. The exercises work to achieve a full range of movement in all body parts to develop flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and strength.
