LEWISTON — Beginning Oct. 1, The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society will celebrate fall and their competition in the ASPCA’s $100K Challenge by offering zero percent down on all “Certified Pre-owned Adult Cats.” The shelter will waive all adoption fees for cats 6 months in age or older. All “Certified Pre-Owned Cats” are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and deserving of a loving home.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society is one of 50 shelters across the country competing in the ASPCA’s $100k Challenge event. The nationwide competition, aimed at getting more animals adopted or returned to their owners, began Aug. 1 and runs through Oct. 31.
