- Candles illuminate photographs of Danielle Ranger at a candlelight vigil at Dirigo High School in Dixfield on Thursday night. Ranger, a junior at Dirigo, died Oct. 16 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Hundreds of students, staff and community members joined Ranger’s family at the remembrance. During a slide show students pointed out a star shining through rain clouds as “I Will Remember You” by Sarah McLachlan played in the background.
