Grange dinner
WILTON — Wilson Grange Passport Dinner will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28.
Board the train to Hogwarts. Menu put together by Dobby’s House Elves: Treacle Salad, Quidditch Players’ Pie, Hagrid’s Pie, Voldemort Veggies, Owls Rolls, Cauldron Cakes and Butter Beer. $12 per muggle. Costumes are not required but will be appreciated.

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange has changed the date for their public Harvest Dinner to Saturday, Oct. 29, serving between 4 and 6 p.m. Red flannel hash, baked beans, salads, casseroles, biscuits and homemade pies. Adults $7, child $3.
Book sale
WAYNE — The Cary Memorial Library will hold a book sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, and continuing for one week during regular library hours: Saturday 9-3, Monday 9-1 and 3-7, Tuesday 3-7, Wednesday 2-7 and Thursday 3-7.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, all books will be sold for one dollar per bag.
The Cary Memorial Library is at 17 Old Winthrop Road off Route 133.

Spaghetti supper
WILTON — There will be a public spaghetti supper on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Wilton Fire Station on Main Street. The cost is $3 for children 10 and under and $7 for adults. Take-out plates will be available. All proceeds benefit Wilton Fire Rescue. There will also be free pumpkin carving for kids, door prizes and fun for all.
Dinner, auction
RANGELEY — The Vestry of the Church of the Good Shepherd will host a Halloween dinner and silent auction to benefit the Lakeside Entrance Roof Project. The event will take place from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29.
The menu includes roast pork, mashed potatoes with gravy, buttercup squash and apple cake. The cost for the meal is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The silent auction will end at 6 p.m following the Halloween dinner. Many interesting and unique items are being donated for the fundraiser. Costumes are welcome.
Family festival
LIVERMORE — Victory Christian Church of 1680 Federal Road will host its fourth annual Family Harvest Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30.
This event has grown each year, drawing more than 200 men, women and children in 2010. The roster of activities will include games, food, prizes, bouncy house, pony rides, face painting, hay rides, super slide, treasure dunk, candy toss and more. This year’s event will also feature the antics, comedy and acrobatics of local high-energy juggling act TWO. As always, almost everything will be free.
Halloween party
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Halloween Party will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at the Chesterville Town Office on the Dutch Gap Road.
There will be a costume parade. Games will be directed by Lane and Laurie Thomas. George will provide hayrides to the Haunted House. Food will include chili, beef stew, sandwiches, cookies, bars and mini cupcakes. There will be candy and popcorn bags. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the free festivities sponsored by the North Chesterville Extension Homemakers. For more information, call 778-3156.
