JAY — Artwork from 17 Jay Elementary School artists is on display at the Otis Federal Credit Union Gallery Student Art Exhibition for the next few weeks. The selected works of art are from kindergarten through fifth grade and feature a variety of styles and media.

“The talent from my students is just amazing!” said Mrs. Lindsey, Jay Elementary art teacher. Looking for a public space to display a variety of student art, Lindsey spoke with Roland Poirier at the credit union about the possibility of having several student art shows that will change every three to four weeks.

An opening reception for the young artist and their families will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26. The public is invited to the lobby of the OFCU to view students’ artwork during regular hours of operation. In the gallery space there will be a Student Art Exhibition Book, and the public is invited to write comments about the show to the artists.

Artwork may also be viewed online at the RSU 73 website.
