FARMINGTON — Grace W. Rodzen, 88, of Farmington, formerly of Wilton, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Sandy River Center for Nursing Care. She had been a resident of Pinewood Terrace in Farmington for the past three years.

She was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Wilton, a daughter of Daniel and Ruth Webb. She attended Wilton schools and went on to earn a business degree.

Grace was the executive secretary of Ted Hodgkins at Forster Manufacturing in Wilton for many years, a position she loved very much and later retired from.

She was married to Steve Rodzen, who predeceased her.

She enjoyed raising her beloved standard poodles for many years, playing bingop, camping with family and friends, and traveling to Florida, for the winter with her longtime companion, Kenneth Lake in their Winnebago, something they had done 14 times. She also enjoyed time spent at her properties in Weld, Boothbay and Florida.

She is survived by a niece and nephew, Rick and Deborah Shorey; two grandnieces, a grandnephew; her companion of 30 years, Kenneth Lake’s daughter, Cathy Gibbs; and his eight grandchildren.

She was predeceased by Kenneth on May 27.
