WEST PARIS – The West Paris Universalist Church invites all to attend services at 9 a.m. each Sunday until the middle of June. Refreshments following the services.
Nov. 6: History, Thoughts and Observations on the First Universalist Church’s Stained Glass Windows. The church windows are of the Tiffany-style and are spectacularly beautiful especially when viewed from inside the church. Presented by guest speaker, Beverly Stevens, who grew up in the Paris Hill area and who is also a long time member of the West Paris church.
Nov. 13: Cindy Reedy is a returning guest speaker at the West Paris church; her topic to be announced. Reedy is a teacher at Hebron Academy and is a third generation Unitarian.
Nov. 20: Spirituality of Place. The Reverend Jennifer Wixson will give this day’s service. Wixson received her Master of Divinity from the Bangor Seminary. She is from Troy and is a writer, social activist and former pastor of the Winthrop Center Friends Church.
Nov. 27: What Did We Really Learn in Sunday School? A lighthearted look at how we interpreted Sunday school lessons. Guest speaker, long time West Paris church member and guidance counselor for 28 years at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, Bob Clifford will present this service.
