NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Library Children’s Room will host a Pajama Story Time and Stuffed Animal Sleepover at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9.

The story time is for children ages 2 to 5 and will feature bedtime stories and lullabies to prepare a child for sleep. Children may wear their pajamas, bring a favorite stuffed animal and a blanket to lie under while Ms. Anna reads stories.

New for November, children are invited to leave their stuffed animal at the library overnight. The stuffed animal sleepover will feature games and activities for all of furry friends. Stuffed animals will be available to be picked up the following day.

Each participant will receive a photo album filled with pictures of their stuffed animal’s library adventures. Children who would like to participate in the stuffed animal sleepover, but are unable to attend pajama story time, may drop off their animals at the library ahead of time.

“Talking with children and sharing books with them are excellent ways to encourage the development of many of the skills in the kindergarten readiness category,” said Renea Arnold, a writer for school library journal.
