BETHEL — Staff from Gov. Paul LePage’s administration will attend the next Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce monthly breakfast Wednesday, Nov. 16, at The Bethel Inn Resort.

John Butera, LePage’s senior economic policy adviser, and George Gervais, commissioner of the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, will attend the 7:30 to 9 a.m. event.

Butera will speak about the administration’s accomplishments, which include regulatory, health insurance, welfare, education and tax reform. The discussion will also include the administration’s current efforts to lower energy costs, improve education and boost economic growth in Maine.

Gervais will provide the latest achievements from that agency, to include the addition of several business account executives and the new Business Answers program. He will also share feedback from the governor’s Job Creation Workshops, which have been held in South Portland and Bangor.

Afterward, Butera and Gervais will take questions from attendees.

The cost to attend breakfast is $13; chamber members pay $10. A buffet breakfast is available. The chamber is seeking an RSVP and prepayment by Monday, Nov. 14, by calling 824-2282.
