Holiday photos
FARMINGTON — Holiday photo shoots will benefit the Fairbanks School Neighborhood Association this weekend.
Family portraits, holiday cards, single shots and photo packaging will be available from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at the school, 508 Fairbanks Road. Walk-ins will be accepted from 6 to 8 p.m.
Times will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Walk-in times are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The appointments will be for 15 minutes.

JAY — Congressman Mike Michaud’s staff will be available to meet with constituents in Jay on issues they are facing with federal agencies and to discuss services available through his office.
Matt Dubois from Michaud’s Lewiston office will be available from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, at the town office, 340 Main St.

Otters to be topic
FARMINGTON — Western Maine Audubon will host a program on river otters at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the University of Maine, Farmington, Room C23.
River otters are common animals that are rarely seen. Robert Cordes, regional wildlife biologist with the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, will give a presentation of his research on the animals. As part of a research project, Cordes used remote cameras to watch and record the activity of river otters, and he will present it, along with a background on their biology and natural history.
The program is free and open to the public.
Showcase tables
SALEM — A sale/show to showcase local small business and nonprofits will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Salem Community Building. Tables are $8 each.
The annual hunters baked bean supper will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the community building. The menu will include hot dogs, brown bread, baked beans, rolls, salads, pickles and pies. Proceeds will benefit the children’s Christmas tree.
