- The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society held its annual Strutt Your Mutt Dog Walk on Sept. 24 at Simard-Payne Memorial Park, Lewiston. Walkers were asked to collect pledges and generated more than $7,500 in proceeds. All funds raised will go to help the animals at the shelter, 55 Strawberry Ave., Lewiston. For more information, call 783-2311 or visit www.gahumane.org. Rosie LaPointe and Chance of Lewiston raised the most money for the walk and were awarded a half-acre hidden fence system.
