- Just Us, a local singing group whose motto is “If it’s not fun, we won’t do it,” will present its Christmas concert on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4, at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston. Just Us was organized in 1999, when seven singers were asked to perform for the local Elks Emblem Club. In need of an accompanist, vocalists Monique St. Pierre and Bert Dutil approached longtime friend and keyboardist Nel Meservier. They recognized a common desire to perform and to “keep alive beautiful music of the past,” Meservier said. Just Us has been performing ever since. The Christmas concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 2 p.m. on Dec. 4. For tickets, call 783-1585 or visit www.francoamericanheritage.org.
