Odds and ends
Issue: Selectmen appointed Town Manager Andrew Gilmore as road commissioner, as a voting member of the Androscoggin Transportation Resource Center Policy Committee and as an alternate voting member of the ATRC Technical Committee. They appointed Road Foreman Alan LeBlanc as a voting member of the ATRC Technical Committee and as an alternate voting member of the ATRC Policy Committee.
Issue: The board also appointed James Rancourt to the Veterans Memorial Park Committee.
Issue: Due to a medical issue, Public Works is down one person. Gilmore asked that people have patience — the crew was already stretched before this. He also passed along thoughts to the family and worker for a speedy recovery.
Issue: Nearly half the town’s residents, 1,500 people out of 3,700, turned out for Election Day. Voters also donated two big boxes of food to local food pantries that day.
