WEST PARIS — That West Paris Historical Society’s building, the former West Paris Lodge 15 IOOF, was approved for nomination to the National Register of Historical Places. Several members attended the meeting on Oct. 28 in Augusta.
At the Oct. 17 meeting, Mary Jane Ames presented railroad memorabilia and a book on railroad history with pictures by her deceased husband of the history in the making as he worked through his life in the area railroading. The co-author, George Melvin, presented the program.
The Inmans and other volunteers are thanked for doing a great job for the hunter’s breakfast again this year. Bob Seluers won the black powder rifle.
The next regular meeting will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21. The event will be a potluck and business meeting after, with fellowship to follow. This will be the last meeting in the hall this year. For more information call Betty Jones at 674-2507.
