PORTLAND — Chief Justice Leigh I. Saufley of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court recently announced that Jennifer Monsulick of Readfield is a recipient of a Maine Judicial Branch performance award for 2011.

Monsulick was awarded the Judicial Branch Volunteer of the Year Award. Currently a senior at Bates College, she volunteered to work in the Lewiston District Court during the summer of 2011. During that time, she assisted in the Family Treatment Drug Court and did important research about protective custody settlement conferences.
