- Buckfield Junior/Senior High School students, staff and community are collecting Christmas gifts for two military families in the area. Brightly decorated balls describe the age and gender of each child, their sizes and other information. Anyone in the Buckfield area can choose a ball and buy the item or items wanted. All gifts must be turned into the school office by Dec. 16. Some of the students who are helping are, in back, eighth-graders Kelly Snyder and Ashley Pennington; seated, seventh-grader Kyle Walters and eighth-grader Patrik Fox.
