- The Deacons of the United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton are getting ready to send out Hannaford food cards to needy families before Christmas. Last month, with help from the Harrison Food Pantry, they coordinated purchasing and distributing 65 Thanksgiving food boxes to needy families in Harrison and North Bridgton. These food boxes, which were purchased using money from the Deacon’s Fund and donations from individuals and organizations, and the annual Crop Walk for Hunger funds, included a turkey and all the fixings including homemade pies.
