FARMINGTON — Dorothy “Dottie” N. McDonald, 68, a resident of McRae Street in Wilton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 26, surrounded by her loving family at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born March 5, 1943, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Theron and Beverly (King) Nichols. Dottie was a 1961 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

Her true love was staying at home and caring for her family and grandchildren, she enjoyed babysitting, and if there were no children in the house she felt the house was empty and would go find some to care for.
Dottie was also an extraordinary cook. Family was everything to Dottie, she loved keeping in touch and knowing everything that was going on in their lives, in fact if you tried calling you would often get a busy signal because she would be on the phone catching up with everyone.
She was a devoted and loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and the list could surely continue. Dottie would give you the shirt off her back or a hot meal to anyone that may be in need. She will be deeply missed by her family and others who knew and loved her.
