RUMFORD — Revello W. Gordon, 75, of Dixfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, at the Rumford Community Home.
He was born in Dixfield, May 10, 1936, a son of George and Bertha (Morrell) Gordon and received his education in Dixfield schools, graduating in 1956.
He was all American “Six Man” Football in 1954, and a hockey all-star in 1955 to 1956. He was active in the greater Dixfield community, having served on the Park and Rec Committee, the “Ho Ho Hotline,” Summerfest Committee, little league coach, umpire and youth sports commissioner. Mr. Gordon was a member of AA since 1988.
He is survived by sister, Phyllis Tibbetts of Dixfield; a special niece, Bonita “Bonnie” Miller and her family of Jay; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Lincoln, Robert, Sheldon, Beulah, Nadine and Diane.
