RUMFORD — A resident on Dragoons Road came home to find a burglar running from his house Tuesday morning.
Police received a report at 11:18 a.m. of a robbery at a home on Dragoons Road across from McDonald’s on Route 2. Officer Mike Belanger responded.
Police Chief Stacy Carter said that when the homeowner returned to his house he saw a man running from it and couldn’t get a good description of him.
Belanger spent the morning and afternoon interviewing the homeowner and taking photos of foot impressions in the snow. Information on what was taken was not released by police due to the ongoing investigation and completion of an inventory, Carter said.
Carter asked that anyone with information about the incident or who may have witnessed the man at the house to call police at 364-4551 or the Oxford County Regional Communications Center at 1-800-733-1412.
