CMCC registration
FRYEBURG/BETHEL — Oxford County residents interested in taking Central Maine Community College courses in the spring semester are invited to attend one of the registration nights to be held Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fryeburg Academy, or Thursday, Jan. 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Telstar High School. College staff will be on hand to discuss classes offered, degree programs, financial aid and scholarship availability.
Students will be able to register for courses that evening. Checks made out to CMCC will be required for payment. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 17. Space is limited. A complete list of course offerings in Oxford County is online at www.cmcc.edu/off_campus/default.asp.

Food pantry
WEST PARIS — The Neighborhood Niche Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at West Paris Baptist Church, 15 Church St.
West Paris residents are invited to come once a month.
The pantry is open from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Wednesday and from noon to 2 p.m. the third Saturday of each month.

Clothing Centeer
HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, and Saturday, Jan. 21.
The center is on Church Street, directly opposite the Hartford Community Church.
Turkey supper
PARIS — There will be a public turkey supper at the South Paris American Legion Hall on Church Street from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. The cost is $7.
Roast turkey
SOUTH PARIS — A roast turkey dinner with all the fixings and apple crisp with ice cream will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Deering Memorial Methodist Church, Main and Church streets.
The cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
There is ample parking behind the library and town office.
Texas hold ’em
HARRISON — The Harrison Lions Club will have a Texas hold ’em tournament on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the VFW Hall, 176 Waterford Road.
There is a $55 entry fee which includes the stipend for state license fee.
The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. The game will start at 1 p.m. and ending time will be 6 p.m. Food and refreshments will be available.
The tournament is limited to 100 players. Proceeds will be used to provide services that the Lion’s Club renders to the community.
1st Saturday supper
SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have its monthly 1st Saturday Community Supper at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7. All proceeds from the meal will benefit Haiti Outreach Mission. Following the meal, Bill and Linda Glass will have a presentation and an update on the mission and on the rebuilding of the community since the earthquake. Pinpoint of Light
HARTFORD — Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center, Hartford Town Hall, 1190 Main St., will explore “The God of Your Understanding” throughout the month of January. On Sundays, Jan. 8 and Jan. 15, at 10:30 a.m., a discussion of “Understanding God in History” will take place.
