WINTHROP — Thomas Charles Sturtevant passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 7, at his home.

Tom, a long-time resident of Winthrop, successfully touched many lives in multiple roles — educator, peace and community activist, volunteer, husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor — throughout his 83 years.
