WILTON — A Massachusetts man was arrested Friday, accused of sexually assaulting a 37-year-old woman about a year ago.
Sgt. Richard Billian Jr. arrested William M. LeGrand, 44, of Lynnfield, on a charge of gross sexual assault after a month-long investigation, police Chief Heidi Wilcox said Monday.
LeGrand is an acquaintance of the woman.
It was non-consensual, Gould said.
The victim came forward about a month ago and an investigation was launched.
LeGrand was released Friday on $250 cash bail from the Franklin County jail in Farmington.
He is scheduled to appear on Friday, Feb. 24, in Franklin County Superior Court in Farmington.
Billian was assisted in the investigation by Wilcox and officer Tim Coombs.
