MEXICO — A local man remained in the Oxford County Jail on Monday on three charges of gross sexual assault stemming from incidents over a span of seven years.
Police Lt. Roy Hodsdon said David Crosby, 35, was arrested Friday at the Police Department. Charges also included one for unlawful sexual contact, he said.
Tina Dolloff was also arrested in the case and was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a Class D crime, the lieutenant said.
Crosby’s bail was set at $15,000 and jail officials said he was still housed at the Oxford County Jail on Monday night.
Dolloff posted $2,000 bail and was released from the police station, Hodsdon said.
Hodsdon said the investigation started in 2008 after information was forwarded to him by the Department of Health and Human Services. He said a break in the case last week led to the arrest.
Hodsdon said the crimes occurred over a seven year span and the victim is now an adult.
If convicted of a Class A charge of gross sexual assault, Crosby could face 10 years in jail. The Class B charge of unlawful sexual contact carries a sentence of from five to 10 years upon conviction, Hodsdon said.
Crosby has a court date of April 13 in Oxford County Superior Court.
Dolloff is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on April 3, Hodsdon said.
The case remains under investigation, he said.
