FARMINGTON — Roberta Iris Collins, 69, a resident of Pleasant View Heights, Wilton, died peacefully, Saturday, Jan. 14, surrounded by her loving family, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 20, 1942, in Berlin, N.H., the daughter of Glenwood Lane and Annie Buker. Roberta was a lifelong resident of Wilton. She was a 1960 graduate of Wilton Academy. On Aug. 6, 1960, she married the love of her life, Guy Collins, at the First Congregational Church in Wilton. They were married for 51 years.

Together they established the business now known as Collins’ Enterprises in Wilton. Roberta played a major role in the day to day activities of this family run business from 1964 until the time of her death. Roberta was an extremely loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and dearly loved their visits.

She enjoyed cooking, handwork, writing songs and poems, watching NASCAR and playing with her beloved pets, Dallas and Silly. She was a gentle woman who possessed immense strength and honor. Roberta will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Guy Collins of Wilton; her mother, Annie Buker and her husband, Clayton Buker Sr., of Hillsborough, N.H.; her daughter, Wanda Rollins and her husband, Stephen, of Glenburn, their children, Chance, Alicia, Victoria and Denise; her daughter, Sheri Gray and her companion, Tony Duvall, of Livermore Falls, her children, Kayla and Kelsey Gray; her son, Ricky Collins and his wife, Tina, of Wilton, their children, Ethan, Derric and Eric; her great-grandson, Noah Johnson; half brothers, Robin Buker and his wife, Tammy, of Hillsborough, N.H., and Clayton Buker Jr. and his wife, Rachel, of Washington, N.H.; half sister, Zee Parker and her husband, Charlie, of Wilmington, N.C..; sister-in-law, Sadie Fitzmaurice and her husband, Francis, of King, N.C.; aunts, Ethel Knowles and Elaine Watson, both of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews.

Roberta was predeceased by her father, Glenwood Lane; and her half sister, Eileen Buker.
