LIVERMORE FALLS — A Jay woman was charged Thursday night in a case where a police officer was pushed after he responded to a domestic verbal dispute reported by a neighbor.
Jessa Ahlstrom, 21, was arrested on a charge of assault, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Friday.
Sgt. Steve Allen and officer Robert Samson responded to a residence on Knapp Street about 6 p.m. Thursday.
Ahlstrom who had been drinking, Steward said, thought Allen was going to arrest her boyfriend and pushed Allen while he was outside the residence.
Allen was not going to arrest the boyfriend and was just trying to find out what was going on, Steward said.
Ahlstrom was taken to Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn and was released on $500 unsecured bail, Steward said.
She is scheduled to appear in Lewiston District Court on March 14.
