PARIS — The worship leader at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street for Jan. 29 will be Merry Shore. Joyce Franklin will be the organist for the 10 a.m. service. Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the service and all are welcome. Childcare is available.
Community Center
OXFORD — The Oxford Community Center is now open to Oxford residents. Hours of operation are Monday and Wednesday from 2 to 6 p.m., Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
Activities include movie nights, crafts, life-size chess and checkers, Wii games, pool table, ping pong, puzzles, cards, dominoes, hula hoops and jump-roping.
Computers and wi-fi are available. Bring your own laptops or iPads.
The ice rink is open with lights until 10.
There will be free skate from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 to 5:30 daily. No hockey is allowed during these times.
A chili challenge and the best pizza contest are being planned.

Health forum
WOODSTOCK — A special Oxford County Community Health Forum will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Crosstone Conference Center at the Mollyockett Motel.
This forum builds on two regional forums that were previously held in South Paris and Bethel and will focus on identifying priority action steps that will lead to healthier communities now. Participation from the business community, health care, education, community agencies, mental health, law enforcement, churches and other sectors will be vital to the conversation and decision making process.
A light dinner will be served, and registration is free, but RSVP to Patty Porter Rood at PorterRoodP@wmhcc.org by Feb. 2. An agenda and other meeting materials will be emailed prior to the forum.
Clothing center
HARTFORD — The Hartford Community Church Clothing Center will be open from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, and Saturday, Feb. 18. The Clothing Center is located on Church Street, directly opposite the Hartford Community Church.
Turkey dinner
SOUTH PARIS — A roast turkey dinner with all the fixin’s will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Deering Memorial Methodist Church at Main and Church streets. There will also be homemade pies. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Ample parking is available behind the library and town office.
Chinese auction
PARIS — There will be a Chinese auction at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School cafeteria. All proceeds will benefit the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Project Graduation. There will be a 50/50 raffle and $1 table items. Tickets are $1 each or eight for $5. Doors will open at 11 a.m. Lunch and snacks will be available.
The storm date is Monday, Feb. 5. To make a donation, call Nancy Henderson at 674-3060. Items may be dropped off at OHCHS.
Indoor yard sale
SOUTH PARIS — An indoor yard sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, at the American Legion Post 72 on Church Street. The lunch counter will be open and 50/50 tickets will be available. Other yard sales will take place March 10 and April 14. Contact Jean Britton at 739-2236 to reserve a table.
