FARMINGTON — Terry Dale Storer, 68, of Fayette, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Jan. 25, in Farmington.
He was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Farmington, a son of Granville and Janette (Wright) Storer. He attended local schools, graduating from Jay High School in 1961.
Terry’s work history began at the North Jay Grange Store. He then worked at GH Bass and Storer’s Service Station, before getting in at IP. During the strike, he went to work at Carleton Woolen Mill, until the time of its closing and then went back to work at IP, until his retirement.
He enjoyed his beloved cat, “Tubby,” fishing, NASCAR racing, gardening and country music.
Terry is survived by his wife, Ellie, whom he married on Feb. 12, 2008 in Augusta; his children, Lisa Guptill and her husband, Rodney, of Turner and Robert Storer and his wife, Bethany, of Farmington; his grandchildren, Nathan Guptill of Turner, Nicole Arsenault and her husband, Jason, of Turner, Robert Scott Storer Jr., Anthony Storer, Richard Storer and Terry Storer, all of Chesterville, Kaitlyn Hall of Idaho, and Stephanie Taylor of North Carolina; siblings, Mavis Lane of Jay and Marvin Storer and his wife, Sheryl Storer, of Jay; half brothers, Granville Storer Jr. of Augusta and Anthony Storer of China; and a half sister, Cindy Blazer and her husband, Kevin, of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother-in-law, Wesley Lane; and nephew, Darryl Lane.
