BUCKFIELD — Rick and Donna Kangas of Buckfield are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Whitney Kangas, to Lee Hutchinson, son of Jerry Hutchinson and Lori Hutchinson of Jay.

Ms. Kangas, a graduate of the University of Maine, is completing her master’s degree in counseling at the University of Southern Maine and is currently working as an adviser for the University of Southern Maine Student Success Center in Portland.

Mr. Hutchinson graduated from the University of Maine with a master’s degree in biochemistry and works at Envirologix Laboratories as a bio-organic conjugate scientist in Portland.

A July 7 wedding is planned.
