Seniors meeting
PERU — Neighborly Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the former Peru Elementary School. A potluck dinner and nickel bingo will follow the meeting. New members are welcome.
There is still room on the trip to Indian Head Resort in Lincoln, N.H. for St. Patrick’s day celebration on March 17.

Widows, widowers
RUMFORD — Widows or Widowers Sharing will meet on Friday, Feb 24, at noon at the senior citizens hall, 59 Congress St. This month there will be a potluck. Del Parker will entertain with his music.

Family Fun Day
ANDOVER — Snow Valley Sno-Goers will hold Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the clubhouse, off Route 5 and on ITS 82.
Bring sleds, toboggans, snowboards and slide the “big hill,” groomed smooth by the club’s Tucker trail groomer. A free lunch of hot dogs, chips, drink and cookies will be offered to all attending.
Chili, chowder meal
DIXFIELD — Dixfield Nazarene Church will have a Chili, Chowder, Cookies Dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.
The cost is $5. It is a combined fundraiser for the Women’s Ministry and the Youth Group. The church is at 171 Weld St.
Dinner for Africa
RUMFORD — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Eagles Lodge, 13 Oxford Ave. Music will be performed by Adam Mazza. Raffles will be drawn. The cost is $5, plus any donation.
Proceeds will benefit Zaraya’s Africa fund. Rhino poaching in South Africa has hit an all time high with 341 animals killed in 2011. Many are mothers, leaving their babies alone and abandoned. Khulula Wild Care helps nurture abandoned babies and help them grow up.
