Shelter needs votes

FARMINGTON — Franklin County Animal Shelter is seeking community help to win $1000 from Bangor Savings Bank’s Community Matters more campaign. Masonic supper

WILTON — A public Masonic supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, to benefit the building fund. The menu will consist of roast pork with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dinner rolls, assorted homemade pies and beverages. $8 for adults, $5 under 12 years of age. Ash Wednesday

INDUSTRY — Shorey Chapel of Industry will have an Ash Wednesday service at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22. Bible study will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the vestry. For more information, call 778-4224.

Spaghetti fundraiser

FAYETTE — A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Hales Pond Recreation Area will take place Saturday, Feb. 25, at Fayette Central School.

The Fayette Board of Selectmen will sponsor the spaghetti fundraiser. All dinner proceeds will benefit the preserve. Additional tax-deductible donations will also be gladly accepted.

Dinner will include spaghetti with meat or vegetable sauce, salad, rolls and dessert at a cost of $6 for adults, $3 for children, $15 for families.

Dinner proceeds will be turned over to the Town of Fayette Keep Me Warm Program if the town is not able to raise the funds necessary for this project.

The community of Fayette remains committed to achieving the goal of raising $30,000 for the Hales Pond Preserve and Recreation Area. If successful, the waterfront park will provide year-round use of a pristine 28 acre lake for everyone. The deadline is rapidly approaching.

Donations are being accepted by Mark Robinson at Fayette Town Office. The tax-deductible donations will be returned if the goal is not achieved.
