CANTON — Doug and Mary Lou Beckler of Canton, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Allison Winona Beckler, to Michael Murray Chambers, son of Susan and Michael R. Chambers of Londonderry, N.H.

The future bride earned a bachelor’s degree in 2007 and a doctor of osteopathy degree in 2011 from the University of New England in Biddeford. She is currently working as a resident physician specializing in child/adult psychiatry at the U-Mass Memorial Hospital in Worcester, Mass.

The future bridegroom is a 2006 graduate of Franklin Pierce University and currently holds the position of assistant coach in FPU’s baseball program, while working toward his master’s degree in business.

An August wedding is being planned.
