MINOT — Eleanor Biron, running as an announced write-in candidate, was elected to a three-year term on the RSU 16 Board of Directors with 47 votes in Friday’s town election.
Joining her on the board will be Tina Love, an incumbent whose name was on the printed ballot, who received 94 votes. Her term is also for three years.
Others receiving votes for the school board were Annette Hemond, another write-in candidate who placed third with 37 votes, and incumbent Yvette Murray, who had 30 votes.
Selectmen Daniel Callahan and Dean Campbell ran unopposed for three-year terms. Callahan got 101 votes; Campbell received 97.
Town Clerk Angeliec Goulding reported that a total of 123 voters cast ballots.
The business portion of the annual town meeting commences at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Minot Consolidated School.
