- A big-air competition scheduled for Saturday at Black Mountain of Maine’s Winter Festival 2012 in Rumford was postponed to 2 p.m. Sunday. Getting in some airborne twisting practice off the 45-foot jump is Cody Michaud of Rumford. Warm weather also bumped Saturday’s 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. horse-drawn sleigh rides to Sunday.

- Saturday’s temperatures in the low 40s during Winter Festival 2012 at Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford were warm enough for Andrew Mills, 13, of Scarborough, to wear shorts while making a snowman. Mills was at Black Mountain to watch his sister compete in the high school shootout slalom competition for a berth on the Maine Ski Team.
