PARIS — On Tuesday, March 13, at 10 a.m., the Experiential Learning Team from Oxford Hills Middle School will be hosting a Bowl-A-Thon at Hobbs Lucky Lanes on Route 26 in Paris.
Students in the class said the money they make will go to the Aspire Higher race car that they are building to race at the 2013 Oxford 250 in Oxford. Donations for the work can also be can be made at Oxford Hills Middle School.
A group of about 30 seventh- and eighth-grade students are building the race car on a small budget. The chassis is being built over time at Race Basics in Paris. The students have been writing grants, publicizing the work and doing other activities during the school year.
The Bowl-A-Thon is one of their fundraising events.
