AUBURN — Police were looking for a car and driver Tuesday morning after the vehicle struck a pedestrian walking on Parker Street from behind and drove off.

“Very limited information at this time,” an Auburn officer said at the scene just after 9:30 a.m.

The man had been walking in the street on Parker, between Turner and Summer streets. He was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Hospital to be treated for cuts and abrasions and unable to offer much description of the vehicle.

“Some type of minivan, that’s all we know at this time,” the officer said.

Police could be seen circling the neighborhood.
