‘Cat’ meeting

DIXFIELD — River Valley Animal Advocates will host a community “cat” meeting for residents of Dixfield, Farmington and surrounding towns at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Ludden Memorial Library.

The session will feature Katie Lisnik, director of cat protection and policy, companion animals, for the Humane Society of the United States, Portland.

Set-up time will be held from 5:30 to 6 p.m. with the meeting from 6 to 8 p.m.

Those attending should use the side entrance at 42 Main St.

DIXFIELD — The National Honor Society and Student Council will host a performance by the the Opus One Big Band at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Dirigo High School. Proceeds will benefit the Dani Ranger Memorial Firefighter Scholarship.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students, and donations are welcome. Refreshments will be available.

Salmon pie meal

RUMFORD — St. Barnabas Episcopal Church will hold its annual salmon pie lunch From 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 30. The menu will include salmon pie with egg sauce, vegetable, coleslaw, rolls, beverage and dessert. The price is $8.
