FAYETTE — Lynne Carol Young, 69, a resident of North Road, Fayette, passed away, Wednesday, March 21, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Richard and Caroline (Carter) Warren. Lynne was a 1961 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

After high school, Lynne worked for Livermore Falls Trust Co. for several years. On Aug. 8, 1970, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, she married her husband of 41 years, Thomas “Tom” Young.

Lynne devoted her life to her family and was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Lynne was also a caretaker having a special place in her heart for the younger children and the elderly citizens in the community.

Lynne had a love for horses and was a member of Trailblazers 4-H Club in Jay, having competed locally, Lynne was chosen to participate in horse showing three times at the Big “E” event held in Springfield, Mass. She and her husband later started the Fayette Farmers 4-H Club in Fayette and ran it for many years. Lynne also enjoyed snowmobiling during the winter months.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Young of Fayette; her son, Troy Young and his wife, Mary, of Livermore Falls; her daughter, Trisha Bruen and her husband, Larry, of Hampden; five grandchildren, T.J. and Tommy Young, and Christopher, Mallory and Stephen Bruen; and her sisters, Dale and Sharon Warren, both of Jay.
