- On Target Utilities Service of Portland has been contracted by Central Maine Power to remove and relocate three poles and wires in front of the Gingerbread House on Main Street in Norway to open up the view of the historic building. Originally known as the Evans-Cummings House, the Gingerbread House and its octagonal tower have graced the entrance to Norway from the north since 1851. The building was moved 950 feet up Main Street to a location near Butters Park last year. A preservation plan is now being developed.
