RANGELEY — Two-time Grammy Award winner and Grand Ole Opry member Travis Tritt will take the stage July 28 at the Rangeley Region Health & Wellness Pavilion.
Over his 20-year career Tritt has racked up seven platinum selling albums (one triple platinum); 40 songs on the Hot Country Songs charts, including five that reached No. 1; and four Country Music Association awards.
Among his hit songs are “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” “Can I Trust You With My Heart,” “Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof,” ” It’s A Great Day To Be Alive” and “I’m Gonna Be Somebody.”
Opening for Tritt is Maine-based alternative country group The Mallett Brothers Band, which captured first place in the 2011 Rockin’ Country Showdown put on by 99.9 The Wolf.
The L-A Harley Band, returning to the stage for a second year, will also perform before Tritt. Last year, the group from central Maine, which plays music from Zac Brown Band to Jethro Tull to Maroon 5, was the second opening act at the Doobie Brothers concert in Rangeley. The L-A Harley Band also opened at the Heroes of Woodstock concert, featuring Jefferson Starship, Ten Years After and Canned Heat, in Livermore.
In years past, Foreigner, The Beach Boys and The Doobie Brothers have given benefit concerts for RRHWP.
