OTISFIELD — Holy Week events have been announced at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church.
Members will celebrate a traditional Palm Sunday service at 10 a.m. Sunday, April 1.
The church. will host a Maundy Thursday service by sharing a Messianic Passover Seder Supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 5. Seating is limited to 45; for reservations, call 627-3126. “There will be traditional Passover dishes to share,” said the Rev. Genise Stern.
On Good Friday, April 6, parishioners will participate in the traditional Cross Walk sponsored by the Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association. The Walk will start at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Norway at 1 p.m. and end in South Paris. Also on Good Friday, members will share in the 7 p.m. service at the Spurrs Corner Church, led by Pastor Rick Mowery.
On Easter Sunday, April 8, the sunrise service will be held at the Otisfield Town Beach. The East Otisfield Free Baptist Church and the Spurrs Corner Church will celebrate together at 6 a.m. All are welcome.
A community breakfast will follow from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Spurrs Corner Church. Regular Easter worship services will be held at the respective churches at 10 a.m
